TIS presenting at O'Reilly Web 2.0 Conference in NY
AUSTIN, TX, September 19, 2011. Co-founders Dr. Alex Kilpatrick and Mary Haskett will present "Cloud 101: Basics of using and controlling cloud based applications" at the Web 2.0 Expo/NY at the Sheraton NY Hotel and Towers on Thursday, October 13, 2011 at 3:15. This talk will present the basics of the Amazon cloud, concentrating on the differences between cloud-based management and conventional server management. Topics include cloud storage, cloud instances and provisioning, cloud pricing, database instances, and cloud security. Additionally, the talk will cover the unique characteristics of a cloud-based application compared to conventional applications.
