Enterprising Woman magazine interviews TIS Co-Founder Mary Haskett

AUSTIN, TX, October 5, 2010. Mary Haskett, CEO & Co-founder of Tactical Information Systems, was featured in the article “ACTiVATing Woman into Entrepreneurship at Mid-Career” in the October 2010 issue of Enterprising Woman. The article is by Julie Lenzer Kirk, an instructor with the ACTiVATE program at the University of Maryland Baltimore County. The program, funded through the NSF, was named “Best Specialty Entrepreneurship Program” by the US Association for Small Business and Entrepreneurship.

ACTiVATE is a program designed to mentor experienced female business executives through the process of starting up technology based businesses. Over the course of a year, the group is guided through the entire process of starting a company from intellectual property and patent licensing through raising money.

Ms. Haskett graduated from the ACTiVATE program licensed by Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas.
